Described as ‘The most beautiful car ever made’ by Enzo Ferrari, the Jaguar E-type epitomised the glamour and excitement of the swinging 60s. Nearly 60 years on, the Jaguar E-type Concept Zero honours the spirit of that golden age while inspiring Classic enthusiasts to embrace advanced, zero-emission powertrain technology.

THE FUTURE OF OUR CLASSIC CARS

In an increasingly environment-conscious age, we aim to make sure our Classic vehicles have the future they deserve. And we’re doing that by developing electric powertrain conversions that preserve the looks, handling and performance characteristics of the original vehicles – yet deliver zero emissions. These conversions are fully-reversible and can be applied to any XK engine powered classic Jaguar built between 1948 and 1992.

BESPOKE ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN

The E-type Concept Zero delivers performance without compromise. The all-electric lithium-ion powertrain is of a comparable size to the original Jaguar straight six and is located in the same place for optimum weight distribution and handling, whilst saving a total of 80kg. The 0-62mph sprint takes just 5.5 seconds, one second quicker than a Series 1 E-type.

At Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works, you’ll find state-of-the-art technologies and equipment in use alongside traditional hand-working skills. To preserve the authenticity of E-type Concept Zero, our team of skilled craftsmen and technicians use as many of the original practices and tooling as possible.
